I started today little distracted! Not a good thing in this class I realized after the fact. We did get to learn how to use CPS today though! It was surprisingly a lot easier than I expected, but I think I still want to play with this tool a little more before I use it in my classroom. I am currently working on a Lesson Plan for my Core Curricular Methods class, and I have decided to use the Clickers. I think the grade 8 students will really love it! Unfortunately I didn't find the Geometers Sketchpad very useful. I found the activities a little confusing and not very helpful for learning. Actually, I found that these modules were not as helpful as I thought they would. Perhaps if I had booked a computer lab day for my class, and some students were done I could get them to work on one of these. That would be a good use for them! It would be too difficult to work on them as a class, and not long enough to rent out the lab solely for this purpose.
